International business activities involve decision elements different from those used when conducting purely domestic activities. The course aims to analyse the main financial decisions faced by corporations operating in a global environment. The course focuses in particular on the sources of capital to the multinational firm and on the foreign investment and acquisition decisions.

Aims and Objectives
The main objectives of the course are to:
* illustrate the main problems and opportunities faced by international corporations;
* examine the main methodologies for the analysis of foreign investment;
* explore the financial and legal aspects of multinational corporations.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
* Understand the sources of capital for a global corporation;
* Understand and analyse the foreign exchange risk;
* Understand the main determinants of foreign direct investment;
* Become familiar with the main methods of multinational capital budgeting;
* Carry out country risk analysis;
* Understand the legal aspects of international investment and of multinational corporations.
